Every month, we publish a fresh Top 20 ranking of the best Chinese animation worth watching. Each entry comes with specific reasoning, not vague praise.

Methodology

Rankings use a composite score: International reception (30%), animation quality (25%), source material depth (20%), cultural significance (15%), and Western accessibility (10%). Updated monthly to reflect new releases, season debuts, and shifting reception.
